New Year’s Fashion Resolutions

Posted: Jan 16 2015

Ringing in the new year is a great time for reflection… life changes that lie ahead for you, goals to meet this year, and of course a time to look in your closet to see what’s working. We’re not hinting at a total wardrobe overhaul, we’re thinking about just a few tweaks and additions to what you’ve already got.

NEW LOOKS

All-season suede! Tons of runways showed suede skirts, pants, shorts, jackets, blazers, tops and any other piece you can imagine for spring and summer. We say slip it on for a lux, modern look.

70’s-inspired jewelry! Ok, so since this is borrowing from a decade past, the look isn’t technically new. But since it hasn’t been big since then, it feels new all the same. Make gold hoops your daily go-to.

CLASSIC LOOKS UPDATED

Peplum! Cinched-waist (aka peplum) jackets, dresses and tops have been popular for seasons. And luckily they’re not going anywhere, anytime soon. We’re celebrating the ongoing trend not only because we already have several styles, but also because the style creates a perfect hourglass silhouette.

Stilettos, flatforms or flats! This year, all heel heights and shoe styles go. No more teetering on sky-high heels if you don’t want to, and don’t look at flats as a fashion no-no. Instead, think of it as a little gift from the fashion gods to have fun and comfort with your shoe game.
